About Professor Brian McPherson
Professor Brian McPherson received his Black Belt from
Professor Ricardo Almeida in November of 2006. Professor McPherson’s training in the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
began back in 1996/1997. He became interested in
jujitsu as many of us did after watching the Ultimate Fighting
Championships (UFC) and came away with
the belief that true technique could win any encounter,
no matter how much stronger or bigger the opponent.
He began training with Master Renzo Gracie in Princeton, New
Jersey, the following year. He followed and trained
under Renzo as he went to Red Bank, Middletown, and New
York City, where his school is located today. Professor
McPherson remained his student until his teacher, mentor
and friend Ricardo Almeida arrived from Brazil to assist Renzo with his school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Ultimately, Ricardo opened his own school (RABJJ), and
McPherson continues to train under his guidance and
instruction. As a result of his teachings, Professor
McPherson is in the position today of offering you this
opportunity to train in a program which is the most
sought-after and effective martial arts system in the
world.
Professor McPherson has over 23 years of Law Enforcement
Experience as a
NJ State Trooper. He has and continues
to conduct law enforcement training seminars personally
throughout the state focusing on the techniques of Jiu
Jitsu. As a result, he has trained thousands of Federal,
State, County, Military and Local Law Enforcement officials in
this program and is certified by the NJ Police Training
Commission. Likewise, he has developed several defensive
tactics programs that are currently in use at
several police academies throughout New Jersey.
