Lost 63 lbs! ..."I'm The Best
Person I've Been In a Long Time"
"When I started training with Professor
McPherson, I weighed over 245 lbs. and my life
was not in a very good place. In less than a
year I DROPPED to 182 lbs., learned how to
discipline myself, how to work hard, not to
quit, and strive to always push myself to be
better. I am in the best shape physically and
mentally I have EVER been in my entire life.
I'm the best person I have been in a very long
time and I owe it all to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and
especially Professor McPherson (and the rest of
the JBMBJJ Family). THANKS PROFESSOR!"

"Taught Me What Hard Work and Dedication Can Do"
"It
has been my privilege to train with and under
Prof. McPherson, he has been a great teacher
and equally great role model, not just in
Jiu-Jitsu but in life. I have also been
fortunate to work side by side in assisting him
in teaching law-enforcement classes and
seminars.
Prof. you and your school (JBMBJJ), have taught
me, what hard work and dedication can do. I want
to thank you for giving me the opportunity, to
work and train with you. Much deserved success."

"I'm
Confident I'm Learning an A-1 Ground Game"
"I
have been involved in Martial Arts for 26 years.
I have known Professor McPherson and his family
for 10 years as I am also an Instructor and
taught Professor McPherson’s son, Jordan the
karate style of Kun Gek Do. I’ve also had
experience in Tang Soo Do and with recently
starting lessons under Professor McPherson in
JBM Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, my karate spirit was
reborn. Professor McPherson’s classes are filled
with motivation and he teaches his classes with
the full compassion for the art of Brazilian
Jiu-Jitsu. I have a very good striking game, but
now training under Professor McPherson I am very
confident that I am learning an A-1 ground game.
Professor McPherson has respect, integrity,
humility and is a good family man, which makes
me admire him and proud to call him my Professor
as well as my friend. I would recommend JBM
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to anyone that wants the
"real deal."

"Benefit From Real Life Applications"
"As a law
enforcement officer I do not know of a better
instructor than Prof. McPherson for my line of
work. His style of teaching makes even the
hardest of training days enjoyable and
worthwhile. Whether it is a basic class or a
more advanced class every level can learn
something each and every class. His experiences
allow all of his students to benefit from real
life applications of what is taught. What ever
your reason for training, work, fitness, self
defense or self esteem you will not find a
better environment to learn in than the one
provided by Prof McPherson."

"47
Years Old ....In The Best Shape Since I Was In
My Earlier Twenties"
"I
am 47 years old and was skeptical about getting
involved in jiu-jitsu due to my concern for
injury and age. I have found that age is not a
factor. I am not forced to go beyond my
limitations but am challenged in each class. I
am in the best shape since I was in my early
twenties. I have had the opportunity to advance
to higher physical conditioning, regardless of
my age, and have lost weight without dieting.
As to my concern of injury, Professor McPherson
runs a well disciplined school. All members of
the class take into consideration other
individuals physical abilities. No one is out
to "hurt" another and that attitude is not
tolerated or encouraged. I personally have fun,
enjoy jiu-jitsu a great deal and have met good
people. I encourage anyone, regardless of age,
to participate and I do not feel they would have
any regrets. The time in class is enjoyable and
goes by quickly. I look forward to each and
every class."

"Gained
Leadership Skills and Humility"
"Since joining Professor Brian's school, I've
gained leadership skills and humility. I've
learned about developing a team and working
together towards common goals. It is not just
about training at the school, it's about
fostering self-confidence, listening and
learning together, which has helped me become a
better assistant instructor."

"Professor
McPherson’s classes
provide a valuable tool to our law enforcement
community."
For the past several years, I have been the
Chief Instructor of Basic Police Officer
training at the
Burlington County (NJ) Police Academy. Professor
Brian McPherson
teaches basic Ground
Fighting techniques to my Recruits; he also
presents more extensive
Ground Fighting
classes to seasoned officers in our In-Service
Training program. Professor
McPherson’s classes
provide a valuable tool to our law enforcement
community. His expertise and
professionalism are
obvious in the instruction he gives at both his
school…the JBM Brazilian Jui Jitsu
Academy…and at our
police academy. His commitment and dedication to
law enforcement training is
obvious and readily assimilated by our Recruits.
Professor McPherson has become my mentor and it
is a privilege
to train under his guidance.
